… and that’s a good thing, because so far for Rancho Cucamonga tonight, he has GIDP’d twice, grounded out and struck out. All the Dodgers care about, though, is how his ankle responds. So far, he has had three chances to run hard to first base, and he’s still in the game. So definitely a positive sign. Oh, and they care about him getting his timing back at the plate after the long layoff, but that will take at least a couple of games,
Quakes are getting it handed to them by High Desert, 13-3 in 7th. That means they’ll definitely play the bottom of the ninth, so Kemp, who s DH’ing, might get one more AB.
UPDATE: Kemp flied to center to end the game. Finished 0 for 5, three groundouts (two of which were GIDPs), a flyout and a strikeout. Rehab game No. 1 in the books. Guessing he’ll play CF tomorrow, but don’t know that for sure. Just a guess.
